Rosemary D Byrd-Geddes (singer, arranger)

Rose is a New Jersey native who grew up singing in the AME Church. Rose left New Jersey and travelled throughout the Midwest, working with different choirs along the way. While she was living in Pittsburgh, she sang with various AME Church Choirs and the Ira Ross singers. She left Pittsburgh and moved to Chicago where she sang with the Community Renewal Society Chorus under the direction of Gerome Bell. In 2001, Rose returned to New Jersey where she sang with the NJ  Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

Rose is a member of the St. Matthew AME Church of Orange NJ.  Rose’s dedication to the youth of our community shows in her working with the NJ Foster  Care System and with the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center Ministry.

Darryl Clark (bassist, arranger, producer)

Darryl is originally from NYC, started playing classical guitar as a child and grew up playing a variety of music styles.  Darryl studied at Jazz-Mobile, and played with a variety of jazz groups.  

“And the children shall lead them”…. Because of his sons Darryl joined St. Matthew AME Church.  Darryl joined the Male Chorus and has traveled to New Orleans and Detroit.  Yearning to expand his growith, Darryl was blessed to accompany the St. Matthew Gospel Chorus traveling to Charleston South Carolina. 

Darryl is part of the Ministry at the Juvenile Detention center, as well as the St. Matthew AME, Rites of Passage Program.

Andre Springer (singer, pianist, songwriter)

Andre began singing gospel music in Brooklyn, New York.  Andre has sung throughout the NYC tri-state area, and surrounding states. Andre is a member of the St. Matthew AME Church, under the pastorate of the Rev. Reginald T. Jackson in Orange and is a member of the St. Matthew Male Chorus – The Sons of Thunder. Andre has traveled wth the choir throughout the US and Canada, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ as one of the choirs’ soloists.

Andre is currently the keyboardist (musician), conducting worship and praise at Essex County Juvenile Detention Center, an outreach program of St. Matthew AME Church.

In 2002, Andre wrote and produced his solo CD Album in titled, (Can’t Turn Back).
